Students working in the artist's studio at the Center with Grover Silcox from Fox TV. Grover filmed the students for a segment that aired on the Fox  Morning Show.

The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education

The artist in residence program at the Schuylkill Center was created in the spring of 2001 with a grant from the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation. The selected artist, Jane Ingram Allen, worked with students from Overbrook Elementary school to make hand made paper from plant fibers and recycled materials to create Earth Quilt/Earth Garden. The quilt was painted by the students to depict a map of the western Hemisphere. Under the quilt students planted flower seeds that would grow in the same map pattern as it appeared on the quilt.
