Permanent Exhibitions

History of Fox Broadcasting

News Corporation

Newscorp was interested in leveraging the historic significance of its core business holdings through permanent exhibitions that highlighted significant advances in the industry. For example, Fox Broadcasting (when known as Dumont TV) played a significant role in the commercialization of the invention of television, specifically the cathode ray tube, which made television viewing possible. The exhibition included objects, memorabilia and photo stills to depict historical facts and moments in its programming history such as the Jackie Gleason Show, the Soupy Sales Show and more recently the Simpsons.
